(11,489 posts)They were saying he hated his 'fro' as time went on, but decided never to change it because it was kind of his trademark.
It still amazes me how fast he could paint.

(15,947 posts)His show used to be on 12:30am; after 10-15 minutes I'd be fast asleep.

(12,132 posts)done by my Grandma in the Bob Ross style. I have a couple of 'em.
Now that she's gone I can admit she was no Bob Ross but I love 'em anyway. She'd watch a BR show and get to work. I ain't planning to argue against anything that made my Grandma happy.

(5,813 posts)He made lots of ordinary folks believe they could paint. People who might never have had the courage to pick up a brush and see what they could do. Sure some of them were no artists. But that is all subjective and if you get pleasure from doing artistic things, I say go for it. It's relaxing and can really put you in a happy place, at least for a little while. So Thanks, Bob Ross, for inspiring lots of your viewers to take up their brushes and paint!

(95,337 posts)I really don't see much different other than one was painted by a groovy, down to earth guy and the other by some asshat who thought his mass produced artwork had some form of value similiar to Picasso or Van Gogh.
