1. The piece we call the bishop has several interesting names. In French, fou,

lunatic or joker. In Spanish, alfil, which goes back to the Arabic meaning elephant. It goes to show you can have a spirited international battle using the same things called by different names. Kind of like Allah and Jehovah.
