Funniest time and place you heard a particular song?

I was reminded of a time I heard this song by Pink Floyd, I'm hearing right now on Pandora.

I was in a dentist's chair, shot up with Novocaine, waiting for the dentist to come in and work on my mouth.

What song comes on his sound system?

I pointed it out to the dentist, and he cracked up laughing.

1. I rented a haunted uhaul truck in New Orleans

It had crazy electrical issues and one of the side view mirrors fell off.

When I turned the truck in and turned the engine off and removed the key.... Sympathy for the Devil came on the radio. My brother was a witness and said "if I didn't see it, I'd call you a liar".

A weird end to a weird trip from NOLA.

2. The End by The Doors.

It was playing in the back room of the Reception Center at Fort Sill when I got there at two in the morning and proceeded to fill out a postcard to my next of kin, letting them know I had arrived safely, and was now in the loving care of the US Army.

3. When the Music's over by the Doors.

I was working construction and had my MP3 player hooked up to my jobsite radio and it was cranked. Jim Morrison sang "When the Music's over", and just then the battery on my radio died. Lol

4. Went into a liquor store in a pouring rain storm.

My girlfriend and I were both dripping wet.

This big burly guy standing in front of a display case yelled across the store to his friend.

"Do you like pina colada?"

I was inspired to sing right back to him "Or a walk in the rain?"

My girlfriend laughed so hard that she cried.

6. The first time I read "The Lord of the Rings"

When I got to where Gandalf fights the Balrog and falls into the abyss, Rare Earth's "I'm Losing You" came on among the records on the turntable.

Now every time I even think of that part of the saga, that song comes into my mind - to the point where the scene in the movie seemed wrong without that background music!

7. When I moved to a new state I had to take a computerized test to renew my driver's license.

When I finished the test and went up to the counter to get my paperwork a radio was playing behind the counter and a state patrolman was standing there. I said, "Should you guys really be playing Margaritaville at the DMV'"?
