The valley is so beautiful, especially this time of year. I lived in Clermont and I miss the sunsets over the mountains. There were countless evenings I would sit on my front porch watching those beautiful sunsets.

This is it today:

I saw some really great musical acts there, and that pool table…. you could barely que the balls up because they would roll downhill!

but it's sad we had to lose the old hotel to gain a new one. It was a special place. Great music, diverse crowds & very chill atmosphere by the river. Good times!

if you hung out there in the 90's- 2004, we may have crossed paths there!

I probably wouldn't have remembered, I had friends who bartender there… so… I rarely paid for drinks.

Phantom Planet. it was back in 2001, I believe. That was a fun room to see bands.

I remember God Street Wine! Loved that band -- they loves to play a lot of the smaller rooms around the Valley and Woodstock!

Look at you making me all nostalgic!

IT's not too far from this place as well: http://www.ommegang.com/

This was taken on the hill sort of behind my house in the Valley. You can't see the front porch There is a horse farm across the street.

It was a Montgomery ward catalog house. Built in 1921, it was this house: The link seems to be acting hinky: .html

I was sorry to have to sell it, but I ended up moving down south to be with the love of my life, so in the end, it's all good. I actually grew up in that house. My dad got it in my parents divorce, and I (at the age of18) decided I would buy that house back somehow. I did, from my dad.

It really was a nice thing that I could sell that house one my open terms and not feel like our home was taken away forever by a really shitty divorce.
