not the part about things changing when they grow up,

but the "hate to say it" part. I don't know that it is absolutely inevitable - stranger things have happened - though I'm sure you meant it,

I mean, nobody made you say it.

It stands to reason that if you really hated to say it all that much then you wouldn't have said it.
