How to Make a Hand of Glory

Cut the hand from the man, freshly expired, on the gibbet. Pickle it in salt and urine of a man, woman, dog, stallion, and mare. Smoke it with herbs and hay for one month, then hang it on an oak tree for three nights. Lay it at a crossroads, then hang it on a church door for one night while you keep watch on the porch. If no fear drives you from the porch during the night, then the hand is truly won, it is yours.

I think I would like to build a gibbet in the front yard, then crawl inside and stay there until I fly away piece by piece with the turkey vultures. It hasn't happened yet today... so far.
