It makes light of sexual stereotypes.

The old Summer's Eve commercials were dull and used stereotypical female roles. Never, ever would they have put a man in those old commercials, much less a woman who wasn't in agony over having "offensive" odor 'down there'! They're dated and frankly uninteresting. This one shows the changing gender roles because they're directly addressing stereotypical thinking but they're doing it in a humorous way rather than in the angry way we've become used to.
