can any bird/nature people help me out?

took this during my walk along the river but have no idea who might live in a wee nest on willows.

Is that a tamarask over the Poudre? Some of those great birders who go to Phantom Canyon will know.

and it is on the poudre just north of fort collins. always assumed it was willow.

river was brown with debris from the burn scars up the canyon.
