But the first time I see something like that I'll quickly look around to see what's chasing it.
A fat baby seal leaping onto a surfboard might be followed by a shark...

They steal our cameras, crawl into our laps and demand to have their bellies rubbed, take up residence in our cities, and insist on playing with our toys.
We let them get away with it because they're cute -- but that's how crazy cat ladies start out.
The more we humans try to extend our control over nature, the more nature is going to see us as one more exploitable resource. And that's not necessarily a bad thing, but the results could be very surprising.
