1. I guess it depends how you define success.

He was so "successful" that he was depressed to the point that he decided to end his own life.

I would define success differently.

JMHO and not to denigrate or blame Robin Williams at all, just that I think we should be careful how we define "success".

It is too bad he had a chronic health condition that killed him. However, that in no way diminishes his success.

and it was officially Jerry Garcia tribute night, and unofficially Robin Williams tribute night. They both would have liked sharing the light with each other.
