10 Crazy Conspiracy Theories People Actually Believe Are True

http://www.answers.com/article/1179392/10-crazy-conspiracy-theories-people-actually-believe-are-true

Obama Controls the Weather One theory going around is that President Obama is able to control the weather with a special device that only he has. Theorists say he is responsible for Hurricane Sandy and used this for his re-election....

No Middle Ages Some theorists feel that there are no Middle Ages and that it is not the year 2014, but it is actually the year 1717. So, this means that every artifact found between 614 and 911 AD are not real or they are from other time periods after those years....

AIDS Created By the CIA Some believe that AIDS is a brainchild of the CIA who wants to completely wipe out African Americans and homosexuals. Theorists cannot agree on whether or not AIDS is spread by the CIA via being injected into those participating in hepatitis B experiments or via regular vaccines....

Paul McCartney Imposter Some believe that Paul McCartney perished in 1966 in a car crash and ever since someone else is standing in his place. There is supposed clues throughout some Beatles songs that talk about this and provide information about the impostor that is standing in McCartney's place.

Hollow Earth
This theory holds that Earth does not contain a solid mantle and molten iron core, but instead is full of levels of concentric circles, most of which are inhabited. Supporters of this theory cite 18th century English Astronomy Edmond Halley's hypothesis of a hollow Earth. In the 19th century, retired military captain John Symmes proposed an expedition to the North Pole, but was rebuffed. This theory has a large and varied following partially thanks to its being profligated through various websites.

Excuse me. I've got some unpacking to do.

Then, of course, there is the Illuminati. I hadn't heard of the "President controlling celebs" bit before, but I have heard that celebs are controlled to deflect/attract criticism of the president. Of course, one needn't be a Harvard alum to know which group is responsible for THAT theory...and I have seen it here too!
