What is the furthest you have been out to sea? I only got as far as the mouth of the Halifax

harbour when i went whale watching. Saw the spine of a Minke whale. I could have swum to shore no problem. Taken a few ferries in my time: vancouver, PEI, and Dover-Calais.

Also took a cruise down the west coast of Mexico but I don't know how far away from land we actually got.

Locally, ferries.

I've never actually been more than 200 yards into the Atlantic Ocean and I swam in the Gulf of Mexico off Tres Palacios Bay, TX. (The entire bay isn't any deeper than knee-depth, you could walk across it.)

It was a 4-hour trip, and I was probably no more than 10 miles from land at any given time.

Off the coast of CT near Milford and off the coast of NH just south of Portsmouth.
