and the Beach Boys and the Rolling Stones... as if these groups were comparable. Like I said, I was a child. Davy Jones was the only one I got to see on TV once a week.

"Good Vibrations" IIRC.....

Changed their whole approach to recording from what I read.

FWIW....

I hated the beach boys.

...played bass on good vibrations, and I believe the song was written about her. She started out as a music teacher and then played in be bop and jazz bands with the finest of the fine in LA 50s-60s. Her musical talent is beyond compare.
