At 5:10 this morning (Oct 4th 2014) it was snowing in south central Wisconsin.

I happened to be out this morning and noticed flakes of snow in the rainy drizzle falling on Beloit. The sign at the bank read 34 degrees twenty minutes later.

Remember all those movies where evil scientists would make a weather changing machine and threaten humanity? We got it wrong, it could never be scientists who could do that. Just the stupidity of the money addicted.

It's lovely in the beginning. But then the snow builds and builds and builds.
By January I'm ready for Spring, glorious Spring.

My wife has 3 routes and we were covering for a friend who has 2 larger routes. All together 300+ papers.

Just one of the many things we do to avoid losing any more of the life we had.

This past winter here in Wisconsin.

It was 35 here in Sheboygan at 9am when I got up.

We're in for one NAS-TY winter here in Wisconsin.

...northwest uburbs of the greater Chicago area (we are actually closer to the Wisconsin state line than we are to the city), and as I was driving to the gym this morning about 8:45, there were some suspiciously white particles mixed in amongst the raindrops.

My sister moved to Madison in the early 80s and we LOVE the place, but you all don't know when to stop or start with the nice weather seasons! And this is coming from someone in St. Louis, where the famous slogan is "if you don't like the weather, just stick around a few days".

It is so beautiful up there!
