Things you should do when you live in India

1. Get a haircut at Warren Tricomi for 1000 rupees, or about $15. In New York that would cost you $200 or so.

2. Get a suit. Seriously. If you can stay in town for a week or so, just find a tailor, and get a suit made. It will be cheaper than if you got a ready-made from J C Penny's back in the states. And it will be much better. Also, because it's bespoke you know it wasn't made by sweatshop labor.

I was just reading a blog written by a friend's daughter who has lived in India and is currently traveling around (now in the Himalayan region). Fascinating place.

I think I bought the baggy pants. Plus a pad lock and chain for my backpack riding on top of buses.
