And I saw where some country music award show was being held in Las Vegas.

It occurred to me then that country music and I are now officially 180° apart.

Plenty of current bands playing good country/traditional music around these days, just not on Clear Channel.

Gillian Welch/Dave Rawlings, Jason Isobel, Old Crow Medicine Show, Punch Brothers, Carolina Chocolate Drops (and spinoff solo acts) Sturgill Simpson, Allen Thompson, etc.

(although I am), but because I really, really hate country music. For me it's auditory tear gas.
