"Star Wars" was always supposed to be nine movies...they did number 4 first because if they woulda hit the paying customers with Jar Jar Binks right out of the box, we'd have never gotten to Darth Vader.

Nervous anticipation as more and more info comes out on this film. I was full of sedated hysteria when the prequels arrived, and was frustrated that I was only moderately entertained by them.

Abrams' shaky eye and quick action-cuts will be very odd compared to the steadfast, graceful cuts of Lucas; so I'm intrigued by that much alone.

Really i like the first two, the real first two not the imagined reordered first two, well enough but they are just so much fluff with about as much depth as a wading pool.

I've been informally keeping up with the new production, but no-- I hadn't seen Daniels' twitter feed. Thanks for that!

On the other hand, of the original three, Empire was my least favorite; which causes no end of fan-feuding when my friends and I go out to dinner and have a few drinks-- to them, I'm an apostate, and to their wives, who take turns rolling their eyes at us, just another nerd.
