When is your pet the adult in the room? Mine is at bedtime. She tries to lure me into bed

at about midnight. When I don't go she huffs off and goes to sleep herself. Also when she licked my hand after I head bumped her she has bitten it, as if to say - "keep it still". That is momma cat behaviour for sure.

My cat sleeps on my son's bed during the day and at night, too.

I was a sculptor for many years and worked into the wee hours.
When Jed sensed it was time for us to sleep, he'd scurry between
the bedroom and my work area to such distraction to me that I'd tell
him to "stop"...he KNEW. Of course, the prancing was then followed
by what I called screech-yawns....VERY vocal yawns with an ending
squeel. That was my signal to wrap it up for the time being! He was
a love. Now I have a "fancy feast" white cat, 12 yrs. old, who does the
lick/bite thing...which I totally don't understand. She doesn't hurt me
when she bites as she just 'sets' her teeth and then licks. The roughness
of her tongue much worse than the biting! But, that's OK; I love her too!

come sit by me and stark licking my face all over. I can almost hear her saying, "Use your little voice dear". Her tactic works too.

will come sit between me and the computer monitor -- her signal it's time to wrap it up for the night.
