Stop me if you've heard this one before: Florida man shoved pounds of stolen cow tongue down pants

Police say a Florida man stole 6.5 pounds of cow tongue in his pants and then tried to leave a Volusia County Wal-Mart without paying, according to WKMG.

Jason Puckett had two beef tongues worth $35.35 in his pants when he tried to walk out of a Wal-Mart in DeLand, reports say. He ran out of the store as he was being stopped by a loss prevention officer, prompting the officer to call police.

Puckett was arrested Friday and charged with petit theft, according to Volusia County records. The 44-year-old man has been incarcerated several times in the past including a 14-year sentence for third-degree murder of which he served 11 years and was released in 2006, Florida Department of Corrections records show
