Girl Scouts fight back against cookie money thief

Talk about a couple of low lifes!

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies are trying to track down two men who stole cookie money in a cash box from local Girl Scouts.

But the scouts didn't let the crooks get away without a fight.

Officials said it happened around 1:50pm Saturday in front of the Walmart on Grand Parkway at Bellaire.

It started out as a smooth morning selling girl scout cookies, but members of San Jacinto Council Troop 29512 said things changed for the worse about four hours into their day.
According to deputies, that's when two men pulled up in an older model, dark-colored Toyota Camry. The passenger got out of the car.
"A guy jumped out and he just started asking us what kind of cookies do we have," Cadet Senior Iravia Cotton said.
Suddenly, officials said the man ran over to the Girl Scouts' table and and grabbed their cash box. He then tried to get away.
