1. I agree! You just knew someone would walk in. And, of course as crazy as

Frank is, it was so "him" to not say "WTF?"

When they were giving her a manicure and whats-his-name was playing
the bongos, I was wishing someone would wash her hair though. Man
what a great actress it is who allows herself to look so bad.

It moves so fast, sometimes I have to watch it twice to catch everything.

This is singularly the most unique show, since Seinfeld, IMHO...probably even more so.

Seems like they really like each other.

And he *is* like a superhero.

Frank pulling the morphine drip from his dying mother's arm and hooking himself up. Does it get any lower than that? LOL

4. How about Frank telling the organ people that "Butter Face" didn't need a heart anymore?

I think that was his lowest low. Pulling the morphine drip from a pancreatic cancer patient and hooking himself up . . . yup, that's pretty low too, but she didn't DIE. Funny thing was, she woke up and said she felt better. And Jody, gawd, he does seem like a sweet guy, but completely un-jaded/clueless. I wouldn't mind if he and Sheila got together, but he has to stop calling her "mom" if they do

This is just such a wacky show. I have more questions:

1) Frank and Ian. Do we suppose that Frank has known all along about Ian and thus wasn't surprised, or do we assume that Frank completely does not care at all and so is oblivious, gay not gay, doesn't even register in his mind? I tend to think that it's a total non-issue with Frank because he simply doesn't care at all.

2) Lip. What to do about Lip? Do you allow such a bright kid to piss away his education, or do you let him do as he pleases, thinking that he'll get it together later on in life? He had a point about not wanting all the pressure of being the golden goose. Why is he doing what he's doing? What motivated this character? Or is he just a big ball of teenage hormones and we're not supposed to understand any of it, because it doesn't make any sense?

3) How did Karen turn into such a horrible person, considering how nice her mom is?

Granted, this show is not supposed to reflect reality in any sense, but there should be some anchors.

If Frank has any depth, he probably still isn't judgmental. Seeing how his mom treats him, explains why he is a drunk, she is mentally ill and she takes it out on Frank.

It is an interesting way to make Lip. He looks so much older that he is supposed to be, but it is possible that he is just emotionally immature.

The way Karen was acting at the adoption office with Tabby, I was surprised Tabby didn't tsk at her once. I see Karen as not too bright and selfish. Sheila is unrealistic and her view of the world is so limited, while I love Joan Cusack, Sheila would drive me up a wall.

I am continually surprised at myself for liking this show, it should be depressing, but it isn't
