I posted about it when it happened, stopped for groceries one night back in August and discovered a little kitten in the parking lot. They were doing construction there, so I talked to a few of the construction guys and they said he'd been around for a few days and they'd tried unsuccessfully to catch him. I couldn't just leave the little guy there, so I went back with tuna, a carrier and a towel, but I would have had no luck at all if a nice young couple who work there hadn't been determined to help me. For such a little one (the vet estimated seven weeks), he sure could move fast! So I now have Felix. He's growing into a beautiful cat!

(28,749 posts)Great story glad you adopted the little kitty! Thanks!

(206,006 posts)The vet said he's healthy, grateful that I found him when I did. I have had a cat before, but never a kitten, and all he really wants to do is play...

(28,749 posts)Ideally next time I want a Bengal though I love to play with them!

(33,688 posts)that somehow lets homeless cats good places to go to. When her big ol' Maine Coon crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 28 years of age (!) within two days a beautiful homeless Russian Blue turned up on her doorstep.

(60,010 posts)Happens to me a lot. In fact, I have only 1 cat that I went out and found, every other time they have showed up, often in strange ways.

(206,006 posts)They were doing major construction at that site and he was just so small, 2.6 lbs. at the vet. And it was just chance that I stopped at that particular grocery store on my way home, makes me cringe to think about it.
