I'm not a big fan of temblors

3. rattled our windows and shook the doors

we're about 1 mi. east of the Hayward fault in lovely Oakland. We felt both waves distinctly. The dog slept through the event.

4. I'm up in the Oakland Hills and only felt a jolt

But I definitely felt it. Up here we don't feel them as much as they do closer to the Bay on flat land.

5. I'm in the North Bay

I'm in San Rafael, had the news on, then suddenly felt what seemed like a truck hit my building. I froze but my cats raced out of the room. We're on bedrock, luckily.

I heard some callers on TV say they didn't feel anything either-- strange. But most did.
