Too cold to do yard work---oh yeah was trimming my huge butterfly bush on Saturday and being the klutz that I am, the shears slipped and knicked my eyebrow. I am so lucky I didn't need stiches or they caught my eye. My son is home sick in bed, my house is clean, I don't feel like reading or playing video games, so c'mon people..tell me some interesting stuff! My friend is coming over at noon for "tea" haha...but I am bored!

When she was 2, her mother was changing her diaper. My niece did not like to take time out of her busy toddler doings for this type of business. She kept trying to roll away. Her mother finally got her corralled and began the deed. My niece lay there, seething. She looked up at her mother and said (swear to God)"Stuuuupid..." Her mother, taken aback because what kind of a two year old knows how to call someone stupid, said,"What did you just say?" My niece looked at her and innocently said,"Steeeewart. Stewart Little." (It was right around the time the movie had come out).
Anytime I think about this story I laugh out loud. she's one smart kid. Still is.

(5,909 posts)How old is she now? Sadly, these days It's probably more common for children at that age to use that word. Not to Mom brag, but I had my daughter's school conference last week (she's in kindergarten) and she's reading and writing at a first grade level,, shows great leadership and has excellent manners. I must have done something right! Thanks for the story SM...you always know I love hearing from you!
Really cute story...and a smart kid!

Years ago I attended my High School Senior Class banquet, just before graduation.
I was always a very shy kid, and wanted to have a good time, but my first thought was always to sort of blend into the background and be "invisible".
So anyway, the banquet is going swimmingly until I bite into a buttered roll
And out pops my one false tooth on its partial plate....stuck in my roll.
And yes, it was a front tooth...the one between the front and canine teeth.
Luckily I hadn't taken the roll complete away from my face, so I was able to wiggle the roll around and dig out the tooth so I could put it back into position.
Don't know if anyone else saw it...never asked my classmates. That was almost 42 years ago and I still cringe when I remember it

Finally, the judge said to Mickey, "Mr. Mouse, in this state you cannot divorce your wife on the grounds of insanity."
So Mickey says,
