Maizie is supposed to arrive this afternoon.

I've run around all morning getting everything set up. Ran to the credit union to get cash to pay for shipping.

I just called the seller's cell number, which she emailed me last night. It's her husband's #, but the voicemail was a very young sounding woman. Really a girl. So I sent a text. Got an immediate response: u have the wrong #.

double-checked. triple-checked. the number I called and texted is the # she emailed me.

I hope I get my Maizie today too. If they couldn't do it, I would expect to have gotten an email. She knows the weekend is fine too (in fact Saturday would be better since I'm home 3 days straight to help her settle in).

I'm a wreck. I've tried so hard, for so long. And Dahli is really seeming lonely this year. I think she knows I promised her a friend.

as a companion to Dahli. Her elderly owners couldn't afford to keep her any more.

by a breeder that I'd almost bought a horse from last year. The breeder takes in a rescue or two each year. If she doesn't re-sell them quickly, she trains them and gets them experienced, then offers them along with her home-breds.

I have a cat named Maizie. She demands a lot of affection and likes to dominate the other cats.

I don't understand. I've been sitting by my phone for a couple hours now! Never heard it go off. Apparently she called half an hour ago...

she was a little fussy the first hour and then settled down.

She's wearing a blanket right now. It was -2 when they left NY. I let them know it's pretty warm here today, and I have extra blankets, so they don't need to leave one with her. She also brought both a regular halter and a western halter, because she can get a little pushy leading. I let her know I have 2 lead shanks, one with and one without a chain.

I must be out of my mind getting a 2nd horse. But when I think it's falling through I freak out too. It's been too difficult and now it's too exciting....

Morgans usually have very nice personalities, in my experience (which, admittedly, was a long time ago!). Thanks for helping a horsie in need.
