Miz t. gets back home tomorrow! YEA!

She's been gone a week and it's been very very quiet around here.
And not in a good way.
I've been talking to myself.
Out loud.

I've also been talking to the next door cats that I'm feeding while our neighbors are away.
They don't answer.
Well, they never do, even when the neighbors are home and they (the cats) are napping in the sun on our patio.

Cats.
Go figure.

And of course, you're talking to the cats! When you're lonely, nearly anything or anyone will do.

Even the cats.

it is perfectly fine to talk out loud; it is NOT acceptable to answer yourself

She answers by running around in circles and then jumping up on the fence.

Welcome back to Mz.T!

I've been a trucker for a long time and have spent a lot of time alone. I didn't fully appreciate the value of human contact before I started driving. I've seen drivers that get so lonely (and it is very apparent that they are) that they will try to strike up a conversation about anything with anyone within earshot.

Most people are not made to be alone most of the time. I handled it well for a long time, but at the end of the day I needed someone to share my life with.

A few hours in a day.
Reading, computer.
But not days on end.

it's nice to have her back.
We've been talking non-stop since she arrived this afternoon.
