i do the same with creatures:
dolphins are the dogs of the sea
whales are the horses or elephants
sharks are the alligators
ravens are the humans of the wingeds
eagles are the shamans
etc etc

Every year we have a pair of great horned owls who nest nearby and raise l to 3 fluffy babies. They never seem to mind that their human neighbors come around to watch them from March till the little ones (big really) leave the nest.

There are several of those videos on YouTube & I was surprised to see how much the owls seem to enjoy being petted by humans.

Those are awful. They make the owls look like bland products, set on a black background for easy digital graphic design.

Against the stark black backdrop you really get a sense of the mechanics of the animal.

And yes, someone will use these images for schlocky advetrising.

There is nothing to distract the viewer from the magnificence of the birds themselves. But I suppose it's a matter of personal taste.
