We tried Little Caesar's new bacon-wrapped pizza

http://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/little-caesars-bacon-wrapped-crust-deep-deep-dish-pizza-taste-test

A lot of things happen when you bring three Little Caesars bacon-wrapped pizzas into your office. Before I even got off the elevator, some dude muttered "Pizza Pizza." The second I set down the boxes, at least five pairs of eyes locked in on the cartoon emperor. By the time I finished up a quick photo shoot, a small crowd had gathered, wondering if the rumors of bacon deep-dish that had spread throughout the entire floor were true. Clearly, anyone wielding the new Bacon Wrapped Crust DEEP!DEEP! Dish Pizza holds enormous power, but does Little Caesars deliver on this stunt pie? I dove face-first into this double-meat treat to find out.

The taste
Even in the first few bites, you'll detect an added smokiness (and crunch) thanks to the bacon bits sprinkled throughout. Mix in the pepperoni and you've got one aggressively meaty pie -- the kind that feels like the jacked-up cousin of a meat lover's pizza, even if there's not a speck of sausage in sight.

Though there's plenty to like about a plain old bacon-and-pepperoni deep-dish, this is clearly a long build to the bacon crust. And boy is it something. The strips are fused in so seamlessly that you have to wonder why no one's thought of this before. They don't fall off no matter how enthusiastically you gnaw into your slice, and they're neither too crispy nor too soggy. All this bacon does make the pie one of the greasier pizzas you'll consume in your lifetime, so be prepared for that. And the ever-so-slight heart murmur you're liable to feel after polishing off your first piece.

The verdict
This is just about what you'd expect from a bacon-wrapped Little Caesars pie. Greasy, smoky, and, most importantly, meaty -- to the point where if you're not a serious carnivore, don't bother with this guy. But if you are, it's pretty ideal. As one coworker observed, it's the kind of pizza that transports you back to college, when you concocted your own makeshift versions of this pie with the dining hall pizza and salad bar bacon bits. This time, Little Caesars did all the grunt work for you, and, unlike your custom bacon deluxe slice, this pizza won't cost you any precious meal plan points.

It sounds absolutely horribly good, like you know you are killing yourself by eating it but you justify it with if I only eat this two times a year I will be ok.
