Announcing the Return of the Robins!

They are back! Saw two on the snowy lawn this morning!

1. They never left here. And now, my suet feeder is GONE!

I saw a large cardinal swinging on it last week and I found it on the ground once. My husband and I were just talking about securing it better and then the next day, it was gone. Not lying on the ground. Not anywhere in the yard that we can see. Just gone. It was an anniversary present (copper) and the birds loved it.

4. Are there bears nearby?

My brother's bird feeders fell victim to bears.

7. Just squirrels and an occasional raccoon...

The squirrels have never messed with it before, even when it got knocked off. At least as far as I can tell.

2. They are all over the place here!

I had about 5 in my backyard yesterday, and I have a SAMLL yard!

Spring is coming!

5. They are right on time.

I usually see them the second week of March. They are very welcome to stay for as long as they like!

3. I heard a robin singing this morning just before daybreak when I stepped out of the house.

I've noticed the starlings looking for places to nest in the building next door at work, also.

The snow has melted off and my daffodils have big fat buds on them. Spring is springing, if not yet sprung.

6. I have been hearing birds sing in the mornings for about a week or so.

Today, it's a symphony out there! Everyone is so happy to see the sun and feel warmer temperatures!

8. Had a whole flock stop by here in NE Fla about a week ago, figured they were

headed north. They stayed around for a few hours, hundreds of them, then moved on. I guess they made OK as my sister in Ct said she saw one yesterday.
