He was lead singer of Foreigner. I first heard it from r.e.m. covering it in concert.

It's totally cheesy & over the top. I love the hooky chords, propulsive rhythm section, semi-mysterious lyrics. His singing knocks me out.

To me it could have been like number one song of the year or something like that. I find it perfect in every way & never tire of hearing it!

I don't necessarily love it, but it gets my toe a-tappin'. However, I can see an angle where someone might love it. Maybe it sets your soul free.

Most people have probably never heard it to begin with. For me it's a perfect slice of the 70s and reminds me of being a kid.

It's got an early 60s vibe to it updated with the the mellow vibes of 70s soft rock. I can see how some pleasant memories might be associated with this song, especially early romance.
