A banana.
They actually recoil from them, I think the scent bugs my cats.

(115,806 posts)I can't even walk through the kitchen without having to grab one and eat it. But the cats don't like them at all so I can enjoy them without being bothered, and I can't say the same about trying to eat a roast beef sandwich.

I've never seen a dog so tense and focused as Newman when there's the scent of banana in the air.
Not sure if it's the snap of the peel breaking open or the scent, but he's always instantly on hand and 100% focused on the fruit.
We're fairly certain he's part border collie and part fruit bat.

(46,340 posts)My cousin has a cat that is like this with muskmelon.
The cat will just about kill itself to get a chunk of muskmelon.
I've seen pictures and videos of cats happily munching away on corn on the cob too.
