Outlander-The time travel romance series that is set in Scotland is back.

Claire continues her misadventure on Saturday at 9:00.

In the trailer she tells someone that she's from the future. Did that happen in Season 1? Or does she finally tell someone in Season 2?

but she can't watch the show...apparently there is too much gratuitous sex with a gorgeous guy.

I'm curious to see where this is going to go, because a woman like Claire would not survive in that era. Her intelligence and education gives her far too much confidence to fade into the woodwork. The best moments are when she puts her skills as a nurse to work, curing people who would otherwise die from their wounds, or disease.

Now, I wonder what that would do to the time continuum when so many survive to reproduce, that wouldn't have survived otherwise?

I love history..... discovered MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS 40 years ago and have continued to read about every decade from 1200's past the 1800's when Claire time traveled.

i discovered OUTLANDER when it first came out. in the books, in the Starz programs, CLAIRE NEVER FADED INTO THE WOODWORK. she saw that her husband Jamie got rescued from the rotten english monster Jack Randal, she worked side by side in USA when she and Jamie traveled there.

Claire was a strong woman, a feminist in every sense of the word.

I'm just saying, that she wouldn't have survived the era (in real life) because she doesn't fade into the woodwork.

The character will resonate with us because she is a feminist. But, this is, afterall, a fiction story.

I generally get bored with sex scenes in movies, but the episode where Claire and Jamie marry and spend most of the entire episode enjoying their wedding night -- well, that was one hot episode. And it really wasn't gratuitous; it advanced their characters in so many ways.

I've read the books, and think this series is really, really well done.

She got me to watch the show with her, and I have to admit I enjoy it.

Particularly that wedding episode. That was... really something.

I would much rather see two consenting adults getting it on than all of the horrible senseless violence that seems to be so in vogue. Game of Thrones is getting particularly ridiculous. I mean, do we REALLY NEED to see a guy's head getting crushed and his eyeballs gouged out? Jeez.

at least the first two books were.

Thought the first book was good, but the second book turned Jamie into a romance novel 18th century superman who could do no wrong, so I stopped.

Once they get married, just about every page has them doing it. Again. And Again. And again.

Not that I mind.

I'm watching some of the first shows over again. Can't wait for 9:00!

The guy who plays Jaime is one fine man, IMHO.

On a more serious note, the gorgeous Scottish countryside is the real star.
