Anyone here know of a good forum that one could find to talk about these types of things?
I had one strong thing happen back about 10 years or so ago that proved to me that "there is something else" that I do not understand out there. This event was really creepy and better yet I told my wife about it before a death occurred...my wife freaked out also.
As of late (past 4 months) I have had a lot of weird things happen. I'm talking premonition and a ghostly encounter.
If you guys are interested, I can tell of my occurrences here, but I'll see if there is anyone interested in hearing them first. In the meantime I'd really appreciate a link if any of you know of a forum that discusses these types of occurrences or happenings? I tried google but it seems all I get is "Tabloid" type sites and tarot card readers advertising.
I'd appreciate any info that could be provided.

(3,366 posts)I registered at the spiritual forums.
Can't say that I think any of the events that happened are remotely associated with being "godly" or religion but it appears that the spirituality forum represents "all things" so I think it's a good place for me to start.
Thanks.

(Religion or god appears to have little to do with spirituality, IMO)

(28,394 posts)This happens to me, too. Not the ghostly encounter, but "premonitions".
Who knows if there is anything to it, but it can be unsettling.

(493 posts)back a bit with my "ghostly" encounter and say that I may not have used the correct term.
To get right to the point, I was brushing my teeth a few weeks back. I was slightly bent over in order to spit out the toothpaste into the sink. As I was reaching for the handle to turn on the cold water to rinse off my brush the handle "violently" came on to full blast, water splashed all over me. My hand was maybe 3 inches from the handle as I was reaching for it and I was actually looking at the handle and watched it slam on....it did not gradually turn, it went to full blast/slammed on. I jerked my hand back, freaked the fuck out and damn near lost it.
I've had around 7-10 "premonition type events" with the bulk of them occurring over the past 6 months or so....they are coming on a lot stronger and occurring a lot more frequently. Around 10 years ago I had one come true as it concerned me so much and was so strong that I discussed it with my wife immediately after it happened....it was a death associated with 4 different people (me and my wife could have potentially have been it, but there were two other people that concerned me) and it happened two days after the premonition.
Day before yesterday I had one that has really spooked me and my family and I am now on a quest to try and figure out more info. I was coming down our driveway (it's about 1/4 mile long) and an urge came over me that that our house had burned down. I immediately looked to the sky (can't see house through the woods) expecting to see smoke...there was none. As I rounded the last curve coming to the house (1st time one is able to see the house) I fully expected to see nothing but the foundation and smoldering wood with the house gone....but all was normal. Later that night my dogs were acting really weird all evening (say from 10:30 at night until midnight, low throat growls constantly for the entire time). I finally dozed off around midnight or so and was awaken by my oldest kid (15) banging on my bedroom door at 2:00 in the morning as the smoke alarm was going off in our den. There was no smoke, not a dead battery, or anything not functioning properly with the smoke alarm, it was working perfectly fine and was doing exactly what it was supposed to be doing. I yanked the damn thing from the wall and told all the kids (3) to get back to bed.
My mental state:
I am an engineer by trade. I was also in Tactical Nuclear Weapons in the military. I'd say that I am about as sane of a person as there is. My engineering background tells me that everything can be explained. My military background and past assessment /psychological testing performed by the U.S gov in order to trust me with a tactical nuke was extensive.
Religion: I think I have been to church maybe 10 times in my life, mainly when my mother would drag us in as kids for our annual Easter visit, so I am not a "religious" person by any stretch of the imagination....however I do believe in fate.
