Barber King Spanel Intl - 1970s - somebody know how to change the blade?

From Google, seems like this thing went out of manufacture long ago, that the inventor had something to do with Spandex/Playtex. I've had this thing so long I don't remember getting it and have never changed the blade, which also might be a "dedicated" blade (not in production). The instructions on the handle say to point the zero (there are 1, 2, 3 on one side of the dial and 1, 2, 3 on the other side of the dial and a zero on one diameter and a dot at the opposite 180 -- zero to the ARROW on the handle. There's a tab at the top of the "carriage" that says "PULL" on it but it is rock solid immovable. The Search comes up with many expired trademark notices and some eBay offerings. More instructions on the handle are for the length of the haircutting: 1 = less cutting, 3 = max. Seems like an ingenious tool.

but it looks like there is a removable pin directly underneath the dial that pulls out to the right.

and I replaced the groady old double-edged blade with a new (not "dedicated&quot one. I also cleaned everything with anti-bacterial cleanser.

It really is a useful thing. Seems like the inventor called this a failure.

watch ebay for a complete unit with blades. I saw one that sold for $7 with blades.

They seem popular with those who have them.
