1. insomnia here...

fell asleep no problem. woke up way too early. gave up a few minutes ago and started the coffee. I can hear it gurgling now.

Oh, and the rat bastards lied. Got last pay yesterday, and they *didn't* pay me for the last 3 days that they told me to stay home for. I should have known. Like them to lie.

I posted recently with stupid wording (I try sometimes too hard to be pithy, when a longer comment might better represent who I am) and got Auf'ed.

And in other life areas I'm a bit overwhelmed. But I've reminded myself that in all mythologies is a tale of the gods walking unknown amongst us, to see how we really treat people. I'll leave it at that.

13. I have the flu

I've been sick all week but I managed to walk to the sore for juice, soup, medicine and other sick person supplies. That's progress. I have had a chance to watch a lot of bad television. I'm usually very healthy so my getting sick was a surprise.

17. today was kind of a Monday for me

broken pipeline, forgot to call my Docs office for some test results, needed to drop off a package at the UPS drop and tried to get my kids to do it on their way to a birthday event. event got canceled and they forgot about the package. so I went back to town to do it and the damn place was closed from the 28th to the 3rd. arrggghhh

pipeline needed two tries for the fix, it was hot as hell today, and I didn't get shit done. but at least the dog is alright.

19. Things are good

Life has ups and downs. It is always easier to remember the downs than realize the ups, but things are good, and I am thankful.
