...we've said "rabbit" the morning of the first of the month in our family forever. My Mom did it, her grandmother did, and *her* grandmother did...we are--on my maternal side--very old CT Yankees, and I learned recently that saying rabbit is an old English custom that transplanted itself here. I still do it--ahem--religiously... (And please--no atheist trolls, OK? I'm kidding...) It brings you luck...and *not* doing it brings you bad luck. Of course, as a good child of the Enlightenment, I don't take this seriously. Still--you never know...
