My neighbor's murder: Family is in town this week packing up her things.

I guess the PD was ready to stop treating it as a crime scene.

I can't even imagine what that would be like.

Packing up your daughter's house, all her stuff....
In the place where she was killed.
I hope HOPE that the family had a professional crime scene clean up crew come in before they did.
The PD don't do it, all they do is remove the body.

But, as a fireman who saw the murder scene described, it was all over the house, and horror movie gruesome.

And, still no arrest nor even a suspect.

On edit: correction to text that originally made it sound like I was the fireman, I was not....

(Allison had his blood under her fingernails from fighting for her life)

but no match with anything in crime databases and not a match for the boyfriend (who found her body - that poor man!!).

I hope law enforcement soon finds who did it. Please keep us posted, Coventina.

I can't even begin to imagine what the family is going through emotionally now.

I have two daughters, and I can't even begin to imagine going through that...

Do you mind my asking what city it was?

As an over-protective father, I always follow the local news where my daughters live and I've been following the news there since I found out she was going - which was at almost the exact same time the murder happened. That and a pedestrian fatality the same day were the first stories that caught my attention.
My girls are 32 and the coverage was extremely disturbing, to say the least. Thanks for the update.

It's an extremely disturbing story, and your daughters are Allison's age!

I don't know if you followed my earlier threads on the topic, but what I found MOST disturbing was that the PD didn't tell us to be on the lookout for someone with scratches on their arms and face until more than a month AFTER the murder!!!
