need to undo ctrl +

I was trying to enlarge the picture on a thread and used Ctrl+. How do I get it back to normal?

Control O doesn't make that much sense. On Google it recommended either one, so perhaps some systems work better one way than the other...

I tried everything. I have a Mac. I finally had to disconnect the cord that goes to the power pack and everything went back to normal.

What I wonder is why control with the minus sign didn't? That seemed logical to me...
