what a perfect evening

sitting on the porch with the husband, enjoying the 70 degree weather, sipping a beer and just talking. i slept in, hung out with one of my besties, loved on my kittehs and fussed with some photos today. there's always shit going on in the world, but i'm feeling good right now.

1. I work Saturdays...

my weekend starts on Sunday. Tonight I shall drink beer. I will sleep in a little, then get up and start reading Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan, and continue The Greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins. I am not doing squat tomorrow.

2. Ya know, I was saying to Mr. Dixie earlier what a perfect day this was.

Took the dog out for a stroll around 7 tonight, towards the end of golden hour. It was still 80 degrees, gorgeous blue sky with a few puffball clouds,
slight enough breeze to make it pleasant, the smell of the four O'clocks was all around the front yard, hardly any noise in the neighborhood.
Very nice.
One of those days that makes you happy to be where you live.

As I write this at 10:48 pm, it is 74 outside.
Happily, we have lots of box fans in the rooms we use the most.
