The first back-to-back no-hitters in the same series in Major League history were between the Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals

September 17, 1968-- Giants pitcher Gaylord Perry no-hits the Cardinals
September 18, 1968-- Cardinals pitcher Ray Washburn no-hits the Giants.
