Despite some ungodly heat, my retirement allows me to water morning and evening - so somehow I am keeping things thriving.

With the horrendous news and malevolent politics in this country, my garden (and my wife and pets and kids, at least from a distance) keep me sane!

Is that basil? I've always wanted to grow basil, managed some in a pot once, keep intending to try it again. I have made my own pesto sauce, but it's tough to find enough at the store around here...

If so, what are you using to fertilize them? Mine are in pots. Looking good so far, but I'm sure they will need food. Let's see if I can name the eight varieties I have out there.

Cherokee purple
Millifleur
Cuban gold
Sun sweet and sun gold
Glacier -- my only determinate
Frosted German doctor something or other
Indigo cherry drop

Ack -- can't do it from memory this morning. One is an orange, can't remember the last.

This year, I'm more abbreviated in the produce because I'm also involved in a pollinator garden project… I have to wait LONGER for the rewards of taking those pictures, as most of these are from seeds.

I really admire your industry. I do! I'm too lazy or something...

Enjoy your garden!
