Weird musical collaborations that somehow worked

Anyone remember Tammy Wynette's brief-but-wonderful foray into Illuminati-themed house music:

Since the KLF were such notorious pranksters, everyone thought that bringing her in was some kind of joke, but really, the guys behind it just really loved country music, and Wynette in particular.

Post some other unlikely but successful collaborations!

When the remnants of Yes looked to the Buggles (Video Killed the Radio Star) to replace Jon Anderson on lead vocals and Rick Wakeman on keyboards, the results were surprisingly awesome.

Trevor Horn is one of those guys who has managed to have a really long and successful career in music without ever really being in the spotlight.

It's Country artists and Blues singers collaborating on classic songs ex.

Brooks Benton and Conway Twitty = Rainy night in Georgia
Little Richard and Tanya Tucker = She's something else

Great stuff
