Winn-Dixie CEO Ralph Numnuts announced today that, to avoid giving offense to African American customers and employees, the grocery chain is officially changing its name to Winn-Daisy. When asked what a Winn-Daisy was, Mr. Numnuts stated, "We don't know but we are confident it won't be offensive when we find out." When one reporter asked whether this meant the store would no longer sell Dixie cups, Mr. Numnuts pretended not to hear the question and abruptly ended the news conference.
