I dropped several new seed packets into a bucket on the patio. Three days later I go to retrieve the packets so I can plant the seed.
WTH? A corner has been nibbled off each packet, and there are no seeds inside!!!
Who did this?

(2,894 posts)3. Rodents can sniff out seeds
from a half a mile away. I once witnessed a groundhog amble up my long driveway, onto the carport, and jump face-first into a empty 5 gallon bucket next to the house.
I was shocked for a moment as that's not the sort of behavior I'd ever seen before.
I realized later there were a few sunflower seeds left in the bottom of the bucket.
You probably delighted some mouse with some exotic cuisine.
...bachelor buttons, nasturtiums, and calendula!
Yum yum.

No gators here. Although I live on the bank of a river, there are no gators. Thankfully.
