I had a roommate who played violin. A very versatile instrument.

I am partial to drums for some reasons. Here's a boy playing Rush!

...with a few years ago, and while I find it a fun way to kill an hour or two once in a while, I'm about as far from ready for prime time on it as humanly possible.
