I have a sixteen year old son, so i have heard most of these multiple times. These lists are missing "Post To Be" by Omarion though, which plays constantly on his favorite station.

"Shut up and Dance" by Walk the Moon is quite catchy. And I know the name Walk the Moon because it's a cool name and whatever they were playing on the Alternative station in my car was good enough for me to remember them.

Edit to add: The rest of them? No clue.

...but my personal opinion? In the "good old days" music lovers could identify artists, and their music because stars earned it by hard work, dedication, and building a fan base from the ground up. Now they put them out there like a Kinko's copying machine on steroids. That, and the fact there is not a lot of good music being made now. Not that there is not any at all, but what there is out there is few and far between. Hell , if I ask my granddaughter about a band she told me she likes, she is apt to tell me, "Oh Papa, they are so yesterday!" Trouble is, she may mean yesterday literally. Give me the days of old school rock and roll, Motown, and real country, and I'm a happy man.
