On the other hand must quibble about the use of quotes around the word music. It is music. Just because you don't like it does not change the definition of music.

My reply to loud music I do not care for is to find loud music I do care for that will annoy the piss out of others. A little Webern or Ligeti usually will do the trick. That or some early Alice Cooper but that's a whole nother tale.

..and then come home from the bars at 2am. I once had a neighbor that did this, so I made it a point to run my leaf blower at the crack of dawn next to his house.

after shouting at his dog and yelling at his kids to get out of the street. He was using the leaf blower ON the kids and they squealed with delight.

So much for enjoying a cup of coffee on the screen porch.

In the last place I lived, the subwoofers made the windows rattle. It's completely idiotic. I believe it went on for years, getting progressively worse. Until...the cops cracked down on them. $500 for the first offense. Because so many of these geniuses didn't have the dough to pay out, their cars were towed! So it put them out of commission for a while and I am sure they learned their lesson.

because of inconsiderate boobs. One bass-blasting jerk after another driving down the street, at all hours. There are local laws against doing so, but that hardly matters. This is the bane of modern living, IMO.
