No, no, that's quite all right- no need to stand. It's just me.

Took a little time off to heal- I had my foot surgery about a monthannahaff back. Somewhat amazingly the surgeon discharged me a few days ago. She was freaked I'd healed so completely and quickly. Frankly, so was I. Guess my 3 days a week physical therapy for the last 4 years paid off.

Next up on my to-do list is a knee replacement. Hope to do that fairly soon. Then after that the other foot is to be fixed as well. I'm on track to getting out of this wheelchair, at least for short walks. I know I'll never walk without support, but I'll take what I can get.

So-- what'd I miss here? While I was on downtime we had an almost-tornado that left a few thousand people without power for a few days and uprooted trees all over the city. The storm hit us with a power surge that killed our washing machine, and we were without internet connectivity for over a week- the same power surge fried the internet stuff coming into the house. No biggie as the Oxycodone had me stoned for a couple weeks anyway.

Hope y'all had a good time while I was away. I know I did!

No. It was actually out-patient surgery. Prisoner_Number_Six Jul 2015 #9

and wondering how you're doing.

I am thrilled to hear how well things are going!

I've been pretty good: took a few days up north with my brother to go over our late parents' estate. Later on my brother will be driving the stuff I chose down to us here in SoCal. We had a good time!

I've been doing a bit of poetry, and lately I'm pretty happy with it.

My joints are not fun, but I'm dealing with that.

I'm so glad you're better!

I look forward to reading more of your poetry. I've been toying with the concept of doing a bit of light writing myself, but all the medications I take have turned my brain into concrete. It's a struggle to think straight at times, but I fight it as best I can.

I prefer something a bit milder, such as vicodin. Oxy is wicked strong, and very addictive. If I had any left I'd take advantage of your generous offer. Perhaps next time.

which is frightening, as I've stepped on the toes of every woman I've ever tried to dance with. I wonder if she knows something I don't.

I stayed overnight at a hotel and went back in the morning to have my dressings changed. Then I went home and returned for post-op exams on a weekly basis until she discharged me.

Lying around with my foot up in the air for three weeks, unable to do much of anything but sleep and pet the cat was enough of a prison for me.
