my guy who cleans stalls and does evening feeds is on vacation this week so I'm cleaning 40 stalls and doing his pm chores. Today I had a young teenager help me. Tomorrow it's me alone. My employees back on Monday and I don't begrudge him the least having a vacation but when I do his job I more fully appreciate him.

He's the highest paid employee on this small farm and I don't begrudge him a single cent.

Just had the good fortune to see your post as I'm about to sign out for the night. Two glasses of wine into the night means I'm not fit company in public....

10. I understand more than you (probably) know. I was diagnosed with depression plus

...being bi-polar 7-8 years ago. Before that I tended to "fly the roller-coaster" of life. Pushed myself for a few days then didn't want to even wash the dishes for the next 2 days. I won't bore you or readers with the details but I can say, after receiving the help that I should have had many years before, I seem to love life a lot more and stopped feeling that I'm constantly crawling/running through reality.

I definitely feel better as well and, more importantly, more tolerant of the diversity of life in general. I'm more laid back and open to people from all walks of life. I'm also more stable. That's what my wife likes about me.

And if you ever feel like opening up more about your experience with mental illness, we have the mental health support group. You will always find an open-minded group there.
