I reeeeeally appreciated it last night when I was driving home after a 13-hour shift, cruising down a unlit stretch of state road with no place to pull off to safety, the effing gd moron that was tailgating me threw 2 firecrackers right behind my car 
At least, I think they were firecrackers. Could have been gunfire for all I know. Just driving along, picking up a little speed after we got out of the higher traffic area and KABOOOOM! with a flash of light right behind me. Looking in the rearview mirror, another KABOOOOOOM! with lightening bolt in the middle of the flash of light, again right beind my car!
Seriously, I was terrified. I had just passed the last convenience store/gas station on the road, so there was no public place to pull into. I didn't know what it was for sure, or what they wanted, and started having visions of getting my head blown off in a driveby road rage shooting, even though I was sure it was a firecracker or cherry bomb. I sped up to 70, but they stuck to me like glue. I kept the speed up until I finally reached the place where the north exit veered off and flew onto the exit without warning. Mercifully they stayed straight and I lost them....
Summer can't end soon enough this year...
